Labor and Birth Doula

Aloha!

Congratulations on your growing family, and thank you for considering me to be a part of your birth team.

I initially came to Oahu five years ago to volunteer for a non-profit organic farm. Of course, I fell in love with life here and decided to call it home. During my time on island I’ve grown my own family, and now have two young toddlers. My personal journey toward motherhood has made me even more passionate and inspired to answer the call I’ve been drawn to for so long- birthwork.

Pregnancy and birth are so endlessly fascinating to me. I am awestruck by the idea that our bodies can grow little people inside of them for us to love. Birth is a powerful, transformative, sacred experience and it should be treated as such. The way you are supported and the way that you feel during your labor and birth experience is something you will likely remember for the rest of your life. It’s your baby’s birthday! It should be nothing short of incredible.

I have given birth both in a hospital with a doula as well as at home with a midwife and her assistant. Such a huge part of a positive and joyful birth is about trust — trusting yourself, your baby, and your birth team. It would be an honor to hold space for your family, in whatever way you need, to get as close as we possibly can to your dream birth experience.

In my personal life, I enjoy cooking and eating plant based vegan food. I love all things astrology and would be happy to chat about your baby’s zodiac sign if you’re into it too! Natural remedies are my jam and I’ll never say no to a crafty DIY project. I am a board member for the Hawai’i Farmers Union United branch in my area, and am interested in organics, food sovereignty, and supporting local.

The path to meeting your baby is exciting, wild, confusing, and magical. I am so thankful for the opportunity to help empower you to have the birth you want and deserve.
